Current stage
The Waterbeach Neighbourhood Plan was made on 23 March 2022.
The Waterbeach Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the development plan for South Cambridgeshire. All planning decisions in that area will need to be made in accordance with the development plan that now includes the Neighbourhood Plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise.

Neighbourhood area designated
The designation of a neighbourhood area for Waterbeach was approved on 10 August 2015. It included the whole parish, with us and Waterbeach Parish Council agreeing a framework as to how we will work together.
Pre-submission consultation (Regulation 14)
Waterbeach Parish Council ran a consultation on their pre-submission Neighbourhood Plan in February 2020.
Submission public consultation (Regulation 16)
The Waterbeach Neighbourhood Plan and accompanying documents were submitted on 2 February 2021.
The Neighbourhood Plan complies with all the relevant statutory requirements.
We asked for people's views on the Neighbourhood Plan before it was considered by an examiner, and could proceed towards a referendum.
Examination
The Examiner's report was received on 2 August 2021.
On 20 May 2021 The examiner sent a set of clarifying questions and information requests.

The referendum on the Waterbeach Neighbourhood Plan took take place on 3 March 2022.
